DIGITAL MESSAGING GETS AN UPGRADE: New Channel of Communication in Beta Test

Houston, Texas (January 11, 2008) – Houston-based Whiteboard Labs is currently beta-testing MotionNotes, a new platform for web-based communication designed for interpersonal messages with video and multimedia. Account holders can record a video greeting and then attach Flash movies, picture slideshows, another video (in either .mov, .mp4, or .flv formats), or PowerPoint presentations. From there, a link with a screenshot preview is sent to the recipient for viewing. Due out later this year, MotionNotes will be another avenue for digital communication and the next best thing to face-to- face communication.

MotionNotes (www.motionnotes.com) is being developed to meet the needs of several audiences, from personal to business. The 1-to-1 version was built for personal communication, allowing families to send vacation photos, videos of first words, and other digital mementos to loved ones. The corporate version enables businesses to send rich messages to clients, prospects, and employees while maintaining their professionalism and corporate relations.

“Initially, we saw MotionNotes as a cool project that made sense, but we’re quickly seeing the need for it as a legitimate form of communication, helping to keep people connected digitally through the delivery of personalized multimedia,” says Drew Rosser, VP of Business Development at Whiteboard Labs. “MotionNotes is limitless in its uses, especially when used by people in careers with frequent travel such as the military. We can help soldiers and traveling executives keep in touch and updated with their kids, spouses, and staff without losing the thrill of being an eye witness,” continues Rosser.

After the official launch of MotionNotes, users will be charged an affordable, annual fee for the ability to disperse messages to a certain number of individuals. Ultimately, MotionNotes will become another medium of digital communication for businesses and individuals alike. Once the beta test is complete and the feedback has been processed, MotionNotes will tentatively launch in late spring of 2008.
