MotionNotes For Hotels

MotionNotes is a platform for digital communication that lets users send rich, multimedia messages via the web. Video introductions can be recorded and sent with attached presentations, picture slideshows, Flash movies, or another video.

MotionNotes brings video and interaction into your hotel communication. A friendly face in an intro video can make a guest see and feel the hospitality you provide. The MotionNote could also include helpful information such as a photo gallery, YouTube video or even document attachments. Hotels can also use the technology to provide automated responses to inquiries and to allow visitors to the hotel’s site to send a video postcard right from the site. Whiteboard Labs Releases iPad Version of The Ultimate Booking Experience (TUBE)

Houston, Texas () – Houston-based Whiteboard Labs, a developer of Internet applications and web sites for the hospitality industry, announced the launching of a new version of their proprietary TUBE booking engine. This time, optimized for the iPad. This new version adds to an already impressive line up that includes a traditional HTML booking engine, an interactive Flash version (TUBE), as well as a mobile-optimized alternative. Whiteboard Labs is once again adapting quickly and responding to the popularity and potential of the iPad as a booking channel. “We felt it was important to take advantage of the features the device offers to provide as rich a booking experience as we do with TUBE. This version is optimized for Safari on the iPad, but we will be using this foundation to deliver a non-Flash version of the booking engine that will work across the most popular browsers”, said Jim Whitney, head of innovation at Whiteboard Labs. Jim and Kiet Nguyen, Senior Developer and UI Specialist, developed this new version of TUBE. Another good outcome of this effort is that detection programming built into the user interface will select the best version of the various user interfaces to help maximize the booking experience according to the device being used.

The new iPad version of TUBE, which can be branded for each hotel, works in both portrait and landscape orientations, adjusting the layout as the user rotates the iPad. Among other features, the carousel of room images allows the user to browse rooms by responding to swipe gestures and check-in / check-out dates can be selected from a touchable calendar.
